Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) in Plainview, NY is seeking a Board Certified Internist to join our growing team of specialists. The Board Certified Internist position keeps quality of life at the forefront by offering a four day work week. The Internist will join a strong and cohesive team. Working alongside two full-time, experienced Internal Medicine Specialists; in addition to the dozens of support staff throughout the hospital, the Internist at LIVS is supported by a dedicated Doctor Coordinator, allowing the doctor to focus solely on practicing exceptional medicine. This position will also offer a full training program in Diagnostic Ultrasound to expand the technical skillset of the Internist.
Long Island Veterinary Specialists a well-established AAHA certified specialty hospital serving our community for over 20 years. Housed in a bustling 30,000 square foot facility, boasting a dedicated area for diagnostic procedures, the LIVS Internist will have access to extraordinary diagnostic technologies. This includes a G.E. LOGIQ Vet S8 Ultrasound, Storz HD endoscopy system, Philips 3 Tesla MRI, Siemens Sensation 16 multi-detector CT scanner, three Idexx blood lab stations, and two digital radiography suites, as well as a dedicated ultrasound for internal medicine and an in-house fluoroscopy suite. With a staff of over 150 enthusiastic professionals, the Internist at LIVS will work amongst published, world-renowned specialists in a variety of disciplines including Behavior Medicine, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Critical Care, Surgery, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
LIVS is located in Nassau County, Long Island; which offers both the big city and small town feeling. The ideal candidate for this position is a Board-Certified Internist that performs well as a team leader, is able to multi-task and has excellent communication and client service skills.
