Sr. Business Analyst (PLM)
Cobham is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst (PLM) to work at our San Diego facility.
This position will be responsible for configuration and support of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems for a growing and dynamic business that spans across multiple North American sites
Position will work with customers, vendors, and supporting IT functions in the analysis of business requirements, design of PLM systems solutions, and business process definition and enhancement.
This position will serve as a Lead Business Analyst for the deployment and support of a PLM system supporting our sector wide engineering teams.
The Analyst will participate in scoping, configuration and solution development. In addition, the Analyst will assist in the design enhancements of the PLM Environments including interfacing applications.
Lead the configuration/setup, testing, training, implementation and support of Oracle Agile application modules
Lead the analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into system and process requirement specifications
Support the Oracle Agile for multiple US locations: Product Collaboration, AutoVue 2D, Integrations to ERP
Collaborate with functional areas of the business and IT to identify, evaluate and implement new applications, engineering processes and technologies to drive business performance improvements
Participate in project meetings, design reviews, training, exercises, and other events as required in support of projects throughout the entire project management lifecycle
Provide hands on technical and functional end user support
Manage and drive project activities and serve as lead for simple to complex project tasks and/or work threads
Provides input and will Develop roadmap guidance and planning for the application and in that way, contributes to the overall application strategyCore Competencies:
Should be an experienced Business Analyst, understanding the lifecycle of a software project, and being instrumental to the success of the project including interfacing with both upstream and downstream solutions including Oracle EBS. Experience in designing interfaces and integrating with other systems preferred.
Is comfortable learning and adopting new technologies; experiments with a wide range of technologies; encourages others to learn and adopt new technologies.
Very strong conceptual, analytical, judgment and communication abilities are critical, with an emphasis on the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Able to qualify for a US Government clearance
Big Four Consulting or ERP implementation experience
Engineering backgroundMinimum Qualifications:
10 years of business process experience with PLM systems.
5 years business process experience with Oracle Agile PLM, including 3 years’ direct experience implementing or supporting Agile (PLM) Applications & related business processes.
4 year Degree or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field
