Information Security Architect
Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions, (CAES), is looking for an Information Security Architect to join our Information Security (INFOSEC) Team in North America. The CAES INFOSEC Team is developing next generation capabilities to rapidly detect and respond
to threats in real-time, and is quickly gaining recognition as an industry leader by the US Federal Government, US Federal Law Enforcement, and partners such as Amazon and Microsoft.
Assist the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in matters of information security architecture.
Perform continuous analysis of the existing computing environment to identify gaps in the established NIST 800-171 and 20 Critical Security Controls (20 CSC) frameworks.
Perform security reviews on products and applications as required.
Foster relationships with other teams within CAES to understand business requirements and work with them to accomplish those requirements within the security framework.
Review, approve and recommend changes to the existing and proposed computing environments, as needed, to address gaps in the existing security posture.
Serve as a lead cyber security technical liaison between customer staffs and other supporting entities.
Review firewall, switch, router, server, workstation, voice and virtual environment configurations.
Perform as liaison to the CAES Project Management Office (PMO) and act as a lead for INFOSEC on assigned projects.
Participate as a member of the Incident Response (IR) call tree, this involves after hours support on a rotating schedule.
Produce comprehensive documentation on network architecture, deployed systems and applications.
Provide quality assurance and control over security technologies including Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems
(IDS/IPS), Firewalls & Log Analysis, Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM), Antivirus, Network.
Assist with technical requirement for special projects as required.
Report misuse, malware, or unauthorized activity on monitored networks.
Assist with implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls.
Evaluate firewall change requests and assess organizational risk.
Provide guidance and leadership to less-experience technical staff members.
Participate as an INFOSEC SME in architecture, configuration, change, security, or vulnerability management boards and processes. Minimum Required Skills:
Review and provide SME support in the development, review, and approval of System Security Plans (SSPs).
High School Diploma or GED Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching architectures Firewall and Intrusion Prevention and Detection (IPS/IDS) architectures to include Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Juniper
Eight (8) years of experience with routing protocols in high availability environments
Eight (8) years of experience with Microsoft Windows Enterprise Operating Systems and Active Directory (AD) Eight (8) years of experience with virtual environments
Eight (8) years of experience with Linux or Unix environments
Eight (8) years of experience in VoIP architectures Demonstrated excellence in analytical and problem solving skills related to network and system events/logs
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
At least one industry certification (CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, VMware, etc.) Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
