The Lewiston Tribune is searching for a full time staff photojournalist with video skills to join our award-winning photography department. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism, videography/photography, or an equivalent are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to assist the photography department in providing more consistent video and multimedia coverage for our various platforms.
Responsibilities for the position include creating photos and videos for print and online publications of story-based daily assignments, breaking news situations, sporting events, on-location portraiture, and stand-alone features for a daily newspaper. The successful candidate will ascribe to a strict code of photojournalistic ethics.
A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are requirements for the job.
Staff photojournalists are provided with Nikon camera bodies, lenses, and a desktop computer, and share a pool of additional video and lighting equipment. The position has a rotating shift schedule,
consisting of nights, days, weekends, and holidays. The salary is competitive, and the company offers health, dental, life insurance as well as 401K and stock ownership in the company.
