Tyonek is seeking applications/resumes for C-23 Sherpa Aircraft Mechanic III in anticipation of contract award to perform the following day to day duties:
The C-23 Sherpa Seasonal Aircraft Mechanic will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a seasonal basis at the US Forrest Service Regional Air Group hangar located in Redmond, Oregon.
Must have all required hand tools and personal power tools in a shadowboxed operational upright roll around toolbox minimum height of 27 inches. Toolbox must be capable of being locked every night.Must have experience in performing scheduled maintenance checks, structural inspections, engine changes, hot sections, and propeller changes. May be required to perform pitot static certifications, transponder and aircraft system certifications, alterations, electrical modifications, and avionics line maintenance.Must be able to read and interpret maintenance instruction manuals, blue prints, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.This position is seasonal, based on the fire season, and is expected to be filled from 01 October through 31 March annually.Other Duties as Assigned Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.Must have a valid FAA mechanic certificate with A&P ratings for at least 2 years.Must have at least two (2) years’ experience actively maintaining similar (multi engine) type aircraft.Must have at least one (1) year of experience working on aircraft above 12,500 pounds.Must have Shorts C-23/SD3 experience.Must have Pratt and Whitney PT6A experience.Must be a US CitizenWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
