The City of Eugene is looking for a passionate, creative, hard-working person to provide direct support to the existing Equity in Contracting Program. This is a unique opportunity to help define, structure, market, brand, and grow the City's initiative for social equity in public contracting. This position will assist in providing public information, outreach, and training; with additional requirements for compiling and analyzing data, writing reports, developing procedures, designing and conducting surveys and evaluations, and the ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations while maintaining complex recordkeeping systems.

You have a background or strong interest in graphic design and are able to create engaging content, have an eye for the right photo, and can provide direction to graphic designers. Collaboration, networking and relationship building are second nature for you and something that makes coming to work fun.
Experience with Supplier Diversity, and oral and written Spanish proficiency a plus.
This posting is for a 30 hour per week limited duration position, projected to last 18 months. Work schedule is flexible, but typically M-F and occasionally includes evening and/or weekend events. The Purchasing Office is located in the Downtown Eugene Public Library.

Experience and Education
Four years of progressively responsible clerical or administrative support experience, including two years' experience in community engagement, event organization, public relations, public sector, marketing, or a related field required. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Associate degree or college course work in the assigned area, is desirable. Must have good communication skills (written/verbal), have advanced proficiency with MS Word and proficiency creating PowerPoint presentations, and newsletters or creative materials.
